    According to NationalToday.com;

“…. In June 1979, POTUS39, Jimmy Cater designated the month of June as BlackMusicMonth.

June is set aside to raise consciousness, and, appreciate the contributions of BLACK musicians, composers, singers, and songwriters in American culture. The month honors the history and rich African traditions that gave birth to different styles of music such as Barbershop, Blues, Country, Doo-Wop, Funk, HipHop, Jazz, Rap, R&B, Rock & Roll, and, Swing.

It is also the month to celebrate creative inspiration and appreciate the impact that African-American Music has had on generations of performers and music lovers.

From tales of slavery and racism and fighting for their basic human rights to finding their heritage and values in their lyrics, Black Music covers a vast range of topics that have great significance for this community. Over the years, we have seen Black musicians reach great heights, not only on official music record charts but also
    at entertainment award ceremonies.

President Carter made the declaration, BUT; it wasn’t until 2000 when the POTUS Proclamation for the month was signed.

In 2009, POTUS44 President Barack Hussein Obama, II,  went on to rename the month from Black Music Month to its current name, African-American Music Appreciation Month.”

  • If you had an unlimited budget for 24 hours, what would you do?

    Good Friday Afternoon!!!

“If I Had an Unlimited Budget for 24 Hours, What would I do???,” is one of THEE wildest questions I have EVER attempted to answer.

I currently reside at a Metro Atlanta-area nursing home, but; I still own my house,  which is in dire need of repairs.

*** FIRST would eliminate ANY/ ALL outstanding debts.

*** SECOND, begin contracting for necessary household repairs/ enhancements. Being a wheelchair-user, priority enhancements would include making my home more American Disability Act (ADA) accessible.

*** Purchase SUV, or, van with wheelchair lift/ ramp.

*** NEXT would shop around for an attorney, and, a Financial Planner (FP).

*** Once attorney and FP are on board, further plan my own financial future, i.e., 401K, Money Market, other Interest-bearing  accounts.

*** Undertake learning laws governing the NYSE, NASDAQ, SEC, and, opening a stock portfolio.

*** Have attorney draft my FINAL Will, Testament, and; Wishes/ Arrangements.

*** Offer significant assistance to certain IMMEDIlATE Family members. This includes paying-off my two sisters’, and, three nieces (their daughters) student loans, AND; mortgages.

*** Make substancial donations to church home in ATL, church home in New Orleans, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and; other charitable organizations. These gifts would be given with understanding that offerings of these amounts would occur ONLY Once.

*** Purchase ALL-INCLUSIVE luxury vacation package for TWO.

For now; that’s about all I can imagine.

NOW, “If YOU had an Unlimited Budget for 24 Hours, What would YOU Do???”

“… beginning as a political commitment,  it has become something people experience every day across the continent… “

    AU ECO SOCC continues,

” … African Unity is not only discussed at summits or written into official declarations. It exists in the work of Farmers’ Co-ops, Women’s Organizations, Youth Groups, and, Community Health Care Professionals, who have spent years solving problems across borders and learning from one another…”

” …Africa Day 2026 theme, “63 Years of Unity, Integration, and Development,” focuses on CLEAN WATER and SANITATION… “
